Now I can use only the 1st 2 slots, nothing is seen in the pairs. If I only put ram in the 3rd and/or 4th slots, bios messages me beeping "bad memory". In some variations it keeps restarting to find the right settings, til it starts using the 1st two slots. Still, I can see the details of the rams in bios where I can see 12Gb.
Superpickle18 • 5 mo. ago. you can mix ram, stability isn't generally a problem unless you push the ram out of spec (like trying to overclock the slower RAM to the same speed as the faster one). Also, you'd want them in dual channel slots, usually those are offset, such as 1,3, 2.4. Confirm that with the manual.
