The Mini is better than a lot of cars up about level 4. It is smaller and more nimble thru the trees. And is faster than some of those cars. I'll pass on several level 2, 3,and 4 cars. It's not unfair, it's RNG. Unpopular Opinion: Dirt 5 is the best racing game of 2020, maybe even in the whole Dirt series.
The freezing puts you at a disadvantage, so you’ll only be able to challenge people below your level if you want to win. You’ll need a good place to find car drops at the start, so I’d recommend the stadium. There’s usually a car drop there and lots of Beetles around to challenge. More competition for the 1 or 2 car drops, though.

I can confirm. Got the achievement by winning 6 head-to-head races and then final one. Used bith right "take opponent's car" and left "upgrade own car" options. But the updates are all in Forza Horizon 4 mode, and there are two ways to do it. The first is by winning the races. Of course, you will have to do it yourself, having the skills to earn wins in the first place. But by doing so, you can upgrade by taking your opponent's vehicle or by finding aerial drops.
